Help Me Date a Vintage Gillette Razor and Blades

I just received a razor and I'm attempting to date it and the enclosed blades.

A clue is that the razor was more than likely made in the 20's.

The Serial Number is : 149934B. I've looked at the Gillette dating page but I'm confused about this one. The 1922 may be the match but the range of SN's states:

863913A‑999999A
1B‑336676B

Does that make any sense. I don't see the lower set of numbers as a range really. What is 1B?

The blades are also very interesting. I have 7 wrappers and 6 minty blades and another little sheet with instructions.

I've looked at Mr-Razor's Blade page but don't see and exact match. Is the 120 a date code? Mr-razor thinks that it might be 1921 and the 20th week? How did someone determine that the 3 or 4 digit code is a date code? Trust but verify.

The nov 15- 1904 is the date when Gillette was awarded the original patent for the Old Type I believe.

This entry is as close as I could get from the blade section of Mr Razors Wonderfull site.

If he wants I'll send a pic in the format he likes.

So two things:

Blade date and razor date.

I'm no expert - that's for sure - but an intuitive/logical guess is that it means the range between
863913A‑999999A to #####1B-336676B (where the first half of the number ends in 1B)

More intuitive/logical guessing on my part is that the first 5 digits represent something that isn't a sequential serial number. For example it may represent day/month or batch number for that day or week or quarter or which plant it was made etc.

I'm suggesting if it needs this much explanation it could be formatted in a more intuitive manner.

I've worked with Binary and Hexadecimal Number systems but the 1922 entry baffles me.
