help identifying razors #2

I also picked up this one today at a local antique store. $3 marked down to $2.40. It's a gillette razor. Says made in USA under the head. It is a 3 piece razor. Seems to be fairly light, but I liked the case and I couldn't beat the price. Any ideas?

+1...bent or missing.What did that poor, helpless Single Ring do to its last owner?

As the others have said, it is a Single Ring. They are good shavers, but I would guess that as this one is missing teeth, it would probably be almost dangerous to use without modifying the blade. The case isn't in the best condition either, but I think you still probably got a pretty decent deal.

Nice snag! As for the missing tooth, you could clip your blade on the corner to avoid any danger. I'll look for a thread that speaks to this.

Overall, a nice purchase!

EDIT: Found it. Here's a tip to utilize those pesky broken teeth....

What a nifty idea! Thanks. I'll definitely give it a try. You know when I saw the little case sitting in the back corner of the case I felt like I needed to rescue it out of that place. And the price was right so I felt I couldn't say no.
