What's new

Hello, I've tried the searches on this.

I'm sorry, and I know that this subject comes up all the time.
The thing is, I have been searching and cannot find a post that I saw about a year ago.
It had many photos about cleaning used safety razors that you find on ebay, etc.
I remember that it had text and captions which included unscrewing the bottom of the razor and pouring boiling water down the shaft to get the black residues and oils, from previous use, out and cleaning it thoroughly before using it.
Again, I apologize for not being able to find this most helpful post.
Can someone, please, direct me to this post?
Thanks,
Jerry.

I use scrubbing bubbles. Just put it in the sink and spray it on, seems to work fine for me. I follow it up with a soak in some alcohol to disinfect it.

some fatboys can be dissasembled. if you have one, see if there are two tiny holes in the bottom of the handle. if not then its pretty much impossible without wrecking the razor.

Not true, there was a post here about using a socket wrench head to uncrimp the slotless cap. The poster said it was pretty easy to do. Now if I can just find that thread!!!
