I am using a Feather AS-D2 with Feather blades. Previously I used a Thiers Issard legend straight razor.

Wow, switching from a straight razor to AS-D2 is pretty much going from one extreme to the other. Even with feather blades. Wish you will get better and better shaves from it! Why did you pick the AS-D2? You wanted something mild and forgiving?
