Has anyone tried Heineken Dark before? How is it? I'm sure it's worth a try.

it was one of my favorites back when dark beers were hard to find here in the u.s.
it has a taste very similar to greenies, except with chocolate and prune notes (at least to me)

Man, hate it. Like Sam Adams or sth. Tastes like Budweiser with a tablespoon of porter dropped in.

It's a good dark beer, but there are better.
Specifically, its a dark lager. "Dark Beer" is not a style. Anything like porter, stout, brown etc are all ales and can't be compared to a dark lager style, since they will not have the same flavor characteristics.
I'm not really a fan of the style, but this beer is not a bad representation.
Meh. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. Just meh.
