Heading to Rome in a week!

A very well earned vacation is planned, and the wife and I head to Italy for 3 weeks on the 30th.

First stop is Rome. There for a few days before our 2 week guided tour starts. Go all over Northern Italy, where the tour ends in Milan. We stay in Milan for a couple days and head home.

Any suggestions on experiences or what I definitely shouldn't miss?

Not sure what you should see or visit but I'd hit some shave shops for sure. If you get there soon you'll be able to buy the lot for $50, $5 if you hit Greece also.

The furthest north of Rome I've been is Florence... I'd recommend Amalfi coast too, south of Naples.

The wife and I spend a full week in Rome many years ago. Enchanting city. I would return any time without hesitation
