What's new

Heading to Ray's Beauty in NYC today...

to pick up some Osage Rub. Any other cheap barbershop aftershaves, creams, etc. to keep an eye out for there? I'm thinking maybe some Pinaud Bay Rum... and then drawing a blank. FYI, the store's on 8th Ave. & 45th.

Any suggestions as to products or the store itself would be greatly appreciated!

I might have to pop in there today or tomarrow, its only a few blocks away from my job. Don't buy up all the osage rub.

I should hope that won't be a problem, at least with that stuff. I was highly disapointed with the scent after trying some while on honeymoon in Jamacia, I was looking forward to brining home a scent from the island, but alas, I didn't like it...

Go to Pasteur's Pharmacy across town (34th between Madison and Park). They have a fantastic selection of soaps and other shaving related paraphernalia, most of which are reasonably priced; but be careful -- some things are substanatially overpriced!

Or you can cross the street and go a block south to Cambridge Chemists.

Scott has a ton of great stuff from soaps to razors and brushes. Don't forget to mention B&B when your there.

Ray's is my source for Lucky Tiger Molle.

They also have Stephan cream - Stay Smooth or something like that. Very moisturizing, but a very sweet, coconutty scent. May be too much for some.

You may also find Campbells liquid shave cream, made for the barber shop dispensers, but I've heard that it can be used straight from the bottle.

Molle got me through a harsh dry winter with comfy and moisturizing shaves.

I'm not into the alcohol-based after shaves, so I can't be of any help there.

Hes talking about the one on 34th...If he crosses the street...theres only a coffee shop there :p

$9.99 for the Osage, $7.99 for the Pinaud Bay Rum. $3 for a 10-pack of U.S. Personnas, and $13 for an Omega Professional Boar (#10098).

Not much in the cream department aside from the Lucky Tiger Molle, which I think was around $7.

They DID have one bottle left of the Lilac Vegatal... but I didn't dare!
