I remember seeing a place that had cheaper cables then the store I just cant find it now. I need about a 12 to 15 foot HDMI cable to run from my direct tv receiver on a shelf to my TV on the other side of the room.. any body have a good place that wont make me have to sell my razors to get it?

Consider Oppo Digital, http://oppodigital.com/products.asp?cat=34; they have a 15 foot unit for $29. I own one of their players and it has been fine. I haven't had problems with any of the HDMI cables in my system; many on the market are overpriced for a simple device IMHO.

Ebay is the least expensive place for simple stuff like HDMI cables. I just bought a 15' HDMI cable for under $6 - delivered.

I don't know where you live, but there's a place called "Ocean State Job Lot" here in southern NE which sells all sorts of cheap stuff. Bought a ten foot HDMI cable there for $10. Works pefectly. Look for similar "lot seller" places in your area. There's no reason to spend too much on these things; they're almost always the same. Other folks' suggestions are right on as well.

their cables are well built (all that is ever required with HDMI) and cheap

This is the only place I purchase my cables from (Ethernet, HDMI, etc.).
For anyone else, +1 on monoprice. I've actually been having some strange behavior from my $0.05 Amazon cable (which I think is from eforcity). My monoprice cables have been solid though.
In case another "+1" is needed for monoprice, coutn me in. They are great!!! I can't say enough good about the value of their cables. I've been buying from them for the last few years and have always been pleased.

I have Comcast...went to the office and they gave me 2 for free...pretty good quality too.
