HCG diet

hey guys! I have been reading on this HCG diet, and just ordered some of it for myself and my husband to do together. My boss's wife lost a LOT of weight on it. I was wondering if any of you have tried it, and if so, what you thought of it and if you had any pointers for us to lose our booties!! :lol:
 
I've seen people loose alot of weight on it. Those same people stopped doing it after a period of time. They said that it just didn't "feel" very safe....whatever that means. Like I said they both lost significant weight on it but don't recomend it to others readily?
 
Its not a good idea idea to mess with your body's endocrine system to loose weight. If you are not happy with your body size then let me recommend a 100% effective way to decrease fluffyness. Eat less and move around more. This is guaranteed to work and the only side effect is better health. :thumbup:
 
My wife and one of her coworkers did it about a year ago, it's a starvation diet, less than 600 calories a day. The HGC in my opinion, and many doctors, is a placebo to make you think your not hungry. You will lose alot of weight, some fat and a lot of muscle. When you go off of it the fat will come back rapidly and, because of the muscle loss, you will wind up with a higher BFP than before you started. I do not recommend this diet at all, not trying to burst you bubble, just trying to save you some grief. Good luck
 
I did it and lost 30 pounds in 30 days on two separate occasions. It was the same 30lbs both times as all the weight came back quickly as soon as I went back to my normal poor routine. It does work though.
 
I have done it twice. First time I lost 1.5lbs a day for 14 days. Second time I was not near as strict, as I was also running every day. I consumed 800 to 1000 calories a day and still seen a reasonable loss of .5 lbs a day.

I`m no doctor, and maybe it is just a placebo effect, but I lost weight. I am very active all day at work, and run 25 - 40Km a week and still needed a boost with my weight loss. Some of us are cursed with terrible metabolism. Before HCG I was 236lbs now I`m sitting at 208 and holding.
 
I don't even know what the HCG diet is, but it sounds like most other 'special' diets.

Bottom line from most nutritionists is that normal human adults can lose about 1.00 to 1.50 pounds of fat per week. Any more weight loss than that is not fat loss, it is water and muscle loss.

I vote for small portions of very good food, coupled with enough walking to keep you healthy.
