having a scuttle made

The bobē scuttle will be a reality soon, I just finished working out it's design with the potter.

I've worked with him to get the features I want in a scuttle

The bowl will be 4 1/2 to 5 inches across 2 3/4 to 3 inches deep with concentric circles and stippling to aid in lathering

It will have a "dribble port" to introduce hot water into the lathering bowl to adjust your lather on the fly.

It will have a lather return lip on the top of the bowl

It will be similar in shape to a Moss

It will hold 16 ounces or possibly a bit more water

It will be a tri-tone color scheme outside with a two tone bowl

He is planning on make several and giving me my pick, and then he may be interested in selling the others.

If all goes to plan I'm hoping to get my scuttle this coming week I was informed he had fired it earlier in the week and it would be ready for glazing by the end of this past week.

I'm hoping he has been able to incorporate all my ideas into it, as I've chosen not to bug him while he was making it and gave him artistic license on it, so my above listed features are a kinda guide and wish list, although I think, however it comes out I will be happy

I was gonna say the concentric ircles is a really good idea. mine has that feature and it makes some mean lather!
