Have you tried to hone a DE razor?

Have you guys ever seen his hones that Polish double edge razor blades? They are hand cranked and some even flip the blade over.. its a awesome piece to own if you own one but could they possibly work? I know blades are much different now than back then(they were thicker heavier metal and you didnt throw them away you sent them to get resharpened(i think) my question is can it improve your shave prolong your blade life?

Stropping might help prolong the life of a blade. Honing a modern blade would likely make it worse to shave with. But I encourage you to find out for yourself!

Depending how much a DE blade is honed, blade exposure is another problem. Stropping should increase its life span but I must say I never tried these with DE blades.

Im definitely looking for one for myself even if it doesnt work its still really cool!
