What's new

Have you guys seen this video??!?

seen it before, he has good skills, but in my opinion a bit full of himself (description of the video, and the whole drinking "whiskey").

Good video, but not my style.

This is just a typical morning shave before I head off to my job with the local transit authority as a city bus driver. I find that nothing gets rid of the anxiety and dread I feel before each shift at my thankless job quite like shaving really, REALLY fast with a murdering-sharp edge. But hey, we've all got to keep our sanity somehow in the midst of this rat race we call life, right?

This is part of the text that he adds along with his video. Does anyone else see a problem here? Taking a swig of booze to relax before a shave = OK, what ever steams your beans. But before you drive a city bus??? Thank goodness I work from home an can afford a car. I also hope he didn't start his career as a school bus driver - the picture of Otto the bus driver from the Simpsons comes to mind.

Agree with all of the above, but the guy really knows what he is doing with his shave. If you read the description, he basically did Kyle's prep before starting the video, and he says it took him one or two years before he developed the facility he displays in the video.

I linked it so you could see his shaving skill, not as an example of a great guy or an upstanding citizen.

the point is to make the video entertaining beyond how to. so what if he drank and smoked. the technique remained the same.

Point taken. Totally agree that he's got mad skills, and is entertaining as well.

I suspect the "booze" was really soda in a spirits bottle.

He does do an ATG stroke under the nose though, which is something I've never been able to do - respect.

That video was great. I'm pretty sure the part of him going to work driving the bus is a joke. It was just to add to the video with the drinking smoking then driving. I'm sure it was all in fun part of the old school vibe he was trying to give.

MAD!! In the famous word or Peter Griffin (Family Guy) 'Un.freak'n.believable' :w00t:

Having never shaved with a straight, but something I aspire to, out of 10, where's this guy rank? Put his clear arrogance aside, skills alone, what do all you straight blade users think?

That's CRAZY! In that video he's faster and more wreckless than I am with a DE! I'd like to shave with a straight eventually, but I'd probally slip and cut my head off like that.

His beard sure does grow fast before his typical morning shave.

He explains that he had done a previous video with a couple of days growth, but people complained that his didn't really have a beard, so he wasn't really shaving. So he grew his beard out so there would be no mistaking that he actually shaved.
