What's new

Has anyone else ever done this?

This morning I had sort of a funny/confusing experience. After my shower I lathered up, and then reached for my trusty Tech. I carefully lined up my blade angle, and took a pass. "Hmm...that's weird...I didn't even feel it cut..."
I take another pass, but still feel nothing.
"Is my blade angle really that far off? :confused1 I thought I was getting pretty good at this by now..."
I rinse off the razor examine the blade and realize...oh, I forgot to put in a blade...oops!
It's amazing how much better these things work when you put a blade in them. :001_tongu

:lol:I think we've all done that before!!! I did it with a Slim and had it dialled up to 10 and nothing was happening!

One of the many benefits of a straight razor :001_tt2:

Nope, happened to me. Thought I was shaving with my straight. Turned out to be the can opener. Not that that hasn't happened to all of us, too. ;-)

Steve

P.S. I don't actually own a straight. I do own a TTO (turn to open) can opener. It's not coded, so it was probably made in '47-51. Opens cans much more smoothly than later models.

Hmm. My can opener has six cutting edges and vibrates to shake the lid off when it's cut. I wonder what I'm missing...

Did it last week, wasn't funny when I did a whole side of my face and still saw stubble. I felt like an idiot.

What's worse is when you forget to change your razor and you get a nice line of razor burn because it ripped out your hairs instead of cutting them off. I did that on Monday.

Not yet - but last week I turned the tap on after my first pass just meaning to wet my hands and splash my face, which I do in between every pass. Instead I grabbed the bowl full of lather and started rinsing it out like I was done with my shave. :blushing:

I haven't had it happen to me yet but I'm sure it will happen in the near future. I'm nicknamed "Forgetful Jones" by the family for good reason. BTW, what was the question again?
