The one thing I've always wanted to get into was using a proper soap in the shower rather than body wash. So I decided to order a bar from Nancy Boy (as their products are generally fantastic) but am having absolutely no luck with them (living in hard water SoCal). Wash cloth/poof/hand/salux all seem to yield rather poor results. I was really disappointed because I have no trouble lathering my Chagrin Valley shampoo bars. I don't need a huge fuffy lather, just adequate enough to get clean without using half a bar of soap. Is there something I'm missing/can do to work with it? Better natural brands? Or is sticking the body wash route the way to go (especially to limit soap scum)? Any input would be appreciated.
