Handles for a 3 piece razor

I'm currently looking into handles that will fit on a Gillette New deluxe (flat back) that is getting replated. I don't care for the standard handles, and would prefer something with a bit more weight and grip on them. I have a regular new that I have put a Razorock Little Bastone handle on, and it is nearly perfect, IMO, but I want something different for the new deluxe when I buy it at the end of the year. With the deluxe on the way, I thought I'd get some opinions on handles that are heavier than bar or ball end handles, and have a nice grip on them. If you've used any of these let me know. The other limit I'm going to put on this is that the razor or handle has to be $30 or under.

Here's what I have so far:

Razorock jaws, hammer and mirrored pole I and II.
Parker 94R, 97R, 91R and 98R
Matador Toro Mastiff
Cadet model 43 and 44 (and many others)
Sabi T1, T2, T5 and resin
Maggard razors

Of the ones I have listed, I think my initial favorites are the Parkers, Matador, Razorock mirrored Pole II, Sabi T1 and Cadet 43 or 44, and maybe the maggard depending on the stock. Has anyone tried these and can give opinions on them? Thanks!

I use either a Weber Bulldog or UFO Kaiser Short with all of my 3 piece heads.

You can get the Shavecraft handle from Ikon for $32 which is the same as my Weber.

Oops...missed your under $30 qualifier. Under $40 is easier. And another vote for the Weber Bulldog which is slightly cheaper than the Ikon Shave Craft and which look identical to me, me owning both.

I just received a Maggard MR-1 razor that I bought primarily for the handle. Of course I'll give the head a try, but what I really wanted was the handle. The razor cost about half of your $30 budget; the company is superb to deal with; delivery was super fast; and the product is as good or better than anything I've seen in this price range. In particular, the handle has a very nice weight (sorry, I don't have a scale). The length and diameter are just what I like, and the surface is nice and grippy. I recently bought a Muhle R89, which is a beautiful razor -- shaves like a dream -- but I just don't like the handle. I think the Maggard will be great with the Muhle head. IMHO, the Maggard is a real bargain.

That's good to hear. They are also on my list, and I think my final purchase will amount to what is in stock, and what I think looks best of the "heavier than a bar handle" options.
