What's new

Hallelujah! I am Chosen!

Big risks sometimes pay off! Used the veg for the first time today, because it's always a great idea to try the most polarizing AS for the first time just before you leave for church on Easter Sunday.

Many are called. Few are chosen.

I am chosen.

Welcome to the chosen Jessy. Hopefully you payed attention to those around you and can give us a recap of church ( any upturned noses? ). How does the Loth and kid feel about it?

Next step is to get a vintage bottle for your prized green liquid of the gods. I found this jewel a few days ago and transferred mine. It's certainly not required.

I really want to try this. Alas, it is impossible to find in my neck of the woods. And I really cant justify paying 2x the price of the product in shipping.

All went well! I find that not many scents linger on me. I don't know if it's my body chemistry or what. The overall experience was pleasant though. No comments, no instant death, no orifice leakage. Not even any comments from SWMBO, although our morning was quite chaotic! I had to be at church early for worship team rehearsal, and she stayed behind with the 3 year old to finish preparing for company afterwards. But even sitting next to one another during service, she offered up not a sniff. Success!

On the other hand, I tried Jeris Hair Tonic with oil also.... I can't say I'm a fan. I like the "old guy" smell, but it doesn't perform well in my hair. I found a new neighborhood pharmacy owned by a guy who used to work for the pharmacy where I had my first job (which was later bought by CVS). They stock various clubman products as well as some other "old school" men's grooming products. I'll be trying a variety of hair tonics in the next few months to see if I can find one I like.

Castellon Pharmacy, on Oak and Dante if you live uptown, stocks the full line of Pinaud products plus several others and they even sell Feather blades.

Heck, even if I don't live uptown, that's worth checking out! NOLA Discount on Clearview is where I went. They have some clubman stuff, but no Special Reserve or Vanilla. 2 that I'm intrigued by. My wife and I are going out and about (2 flea markets in Harahan/Metairie, Papier Plume on Royal, and Lush on Decatur) this weekend, maybe I'll swing us by Oak and check it out. :D
