Hairy Neck

Title says all. It's not too bad yet but i'm only 15 right now so I don't feel like I can say much. Started at a younger age when the barber would cut my neckline really low.

I started shaving it 2x/year when I was around 13-14.

In between the semi annual shaves, I trim it with a trimmer.

Any better ideas so I don't have prolonged issues in the future? Past experience, maybe?

Thank you in advance gentlemen!

My advice is to get used to it... it only gets worse  Just wait until it migrates around under your ears and you realize your head is becoming a reversed reenactment of Pangaea spreading :cursing:

High school and college, being very self conscious times (unless you're somehow already married), it will bug the crap out of you. Eventually it becomes futile and you begin to spend your worries on other things.

I'm about to turn 30 and I could probably skip the costume this Halloween. just put on a basketball jersey and head band, say I'm Teen Wolf.

Have you seen 40 Year Old Virgin? The waxing parlor scene? "OAH! We gonna need moa wax! Cancel all aftanoon appointment!"

Yeah, that's always another option... I myself am not willing to go down that road.

just keep a cartridge or disposable razor around, one you can use blindly on the back of your neck with whatever lather you have left over after your DE shave every few days. Or wear collared shirts

That's life. I shave my neck every day as my 4th pass. You'll learn to get really good using two mirrors!

 No, but seriously, it's bad.

Laser? Something to ever consider? Thoughts?

I also have two moles on either side of my face. One is 5mm and the other is 2mm.

They're practically flat, but significantly brown compared to my face. They by no means affect my shave and my razor glides right over them as if they were %100 flat to my face. They're unsightly in a way, I kinda like them cause they've been there all my life, but for being taken a little more maturely and appealing more to the opposite sex, I somewhat want them removed.

Thoughts on this?

Moles... that's all you, my friend. I've got one that I cut the top off of when shaving at least once a year. It sucks, but the other 364 days out of the year I forget about it (well, ok... it takes about a week to heal and get past the fear of doing it again).

Laser, I know nothing about. But it sounds expensive. There's also electrolysis, but I don't know much about it either. Unless you're made of money or a self-conscious basket case, shaving's gonna be your main weapon.

There's always Nair for Men and similar products, if you like that chemical burning sensation and the smell of melting hair.

Make it a part of your weekend ritual. Before you change your blade, do a quick pass or two on the back of your neck.

stop in and see your friendly Dermatologist he will dunk a long q-tip into a cup of liquid nitrogen and roll it around on top of the moles. in 2 or 3 days they will turn black and crusty. After a few more days all of a sudden you will notice they are gone.

shaving your neck is a breeze compared to when you have to start trimming the brio pad hair out of your ears! then there is your nose hair!
