Haircut in Pittsburgh

Hello fellow B&Bers!

I was hoping to get some helpful info from any board members living in the Pittsburgh area.

I am moving to town soon as I recently accepted a new job - and I'm currently in search of a new place to get my haircut. For years, I did the routine "barber shop visit", but I'm looking to change things up a bit.

I'd like to find somewhere that offers more stylish options for men, yet where I won't feel too out of place (i.e. salon with all women clientele).

Any thoughts/input?

Thanks!

Hey, Close,

If you find one, let me know. I have lived here in the east suburbs for 18 years and I'm still looking. Depending on what part of da'burg you settle into, I do know of a nice barbershop or two.

Tim

Leans toward traditional, but they're innovative. Bloomfield calls itself "Pgh's Little Italy," and it is a nice little neighborhood, with interesting shops, great music store, great Italian food in all price ranges.

If not there, if you are north of the city, I can recommend a great barber at BoRics on McKnight Rd. Linda is awesome, sweet, and very talented after about 25 years of experience (she's there Tues/Wed/Thurs).

Welcome to Pittsburgh. Great place to live, work, and raise a family.

I have heard good things about the place in bloomfield although I haven't yet had the chance to stop in.

Enrico's in Oakland does a very nice job. It is a 1 chair shop though so I would recommend calling prior to going down.

Bethel Barber shop does a good job also. A guy that comes into the archery shop I work at owns it, nice place, decent prices, up to date kind of place. It is a bit out of the way for me though.

That is all I know of the area, my schedule doesn't allow for tons of exploring. If anyone knows of any other awesome places I would love to hear about them.
