From where I’m sitting, it looks like a Doxa.On today's thrilling episode of "I Can't Afford The Real Thing," a Seestern Sub 300.

Way back when, before I knew or cared anything about watches, my first introduction to the "dive watch" was Dirk Pitt's Doxa. So I had to have one. While a real Doxa is out of my price range, the Seestern is the next best thing.
I only see 2 straps. I thought they did buy 2 get one free. What are you hiding from us?!A couple of Blushark straps for my new Promaster, and a roll for the straps.
I didn't even pick a third strap. Never even crossed my mind. I was just trying to place my order in time to get the free strap roll.I only see 2 straps. I thought they did buy 2 get one free. What are you hiding from us?!
And here's the watch. Steeldive SD1952. First on the original bracelet, then on the Tropic.

I found it on Amazon. I could have ordered it cheaper from AliExpress, but I figured it was worth the extra $20 to get it today, rather than in September.
I've noticed that about Tropics. Everytime I put one on a watch, it instantly becomes one of my favorite straps. They make just about everything look better. On watches where I change the straps regularly, the Tropic stays on longer than the others. Two of my watches (including this new Steeldive) never get strap changes. They wear Tropics all the time. (My Steeldive Willard is also a single-strap watch, but not a Tropic.)Although my leanings tend to fall towards a bracelet, that trop sure does make that watch pop.
