I'm sure others have spotted this, but in watching the 1942 movie "Pride of The Yankees" (yet again), noticed something funny. Maybe the movie producers didn't want any trademark problems, but you'd think GEM would want the free publicity LOL!
..and the real right-field view, although not the same year (the movie was made 3 years after Gehrig of course had to stop playing in '39). Marlin was also reportedly a very popular blade at that time.
Off-topic, for anyone who is familiar with the scene in the movie where they trick Gehrig into ruining Babe Ruth's new straw hat, the line "“If you’re one of us, you’ll take a bite” was later referenced in a hilarious Seinfeld scene.
