Hey guys - I’m actually a bass player who dabbles a little (very little) on six string. My focus is typically rhythm guitar - Keith Richards stuff. I have a nice little 5 watt tube amp (Gries), but that is too loud for my living situation, so I generally run my guitar through a Class D bass amp with the headphones connected. It sounds great, but too clean. Was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a pedal that would give me that nice distorted bluesy sound that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. Thanks!

A Boss SD-1 is a good old classic, and very inexpensive especially if you pick up a used one. Ibanez Tube Screamer is in the same vein. The Electro-Harmonix Soul Food is excellent too. Any of those should do the trick.
SD-1 or Tube Screamer (or a decent quality clone of one of them).
I've used Joyo in the past and never had a problem with them and if are looking to save cash they are a good option.
