Grooming tools

How do you guys take care and clean of your other grooming tools besides your razors? I'm talking beard and nose hair scissors, nail clippers, tweezers etc.? Would spraying them with alcohol be enough for disinfecting?

Professional barbers use a product called Barbacide which comes as a concentrate and is then diluted with water. It is a very effective at killing bacteria, fungus, and viruses. However, if you are cleaning tools for your own use, using isopropyl alcohol should be adequate. Dipping the implement may be more effective than spraying. Just be sure you do not wipe or rinse off the alcohol. Allow the alcohol to evaporate so there will be sufficient time for it to kill off any microbes. In some places, isopropyl alcohol is available in two concentrations: 70% and 91%. You might think that the 91% is stronger and thus would be the better choice for disinfecting. However, the 70% takes longer to evaporate allowing more contact time. Either will work.
