Green Face after shaving

I dont understand but why does my face have a green tint after shaving my face?

Maybe Im not getting a close enough shave. I use the shick Quatro, and I've had a shave done from a straight razor and it feels great and close and that green color doesnt tend to come when its done by a barber.

Zog,

I believe that a green tint vs. red tint (read BLOOD) is not such a bad thing. Do you have a heavy beard? If so, closeness may very well be the culprit.

what other products are you using with the quattro?

zog,
Do you happen to have a heavy thick beard with dark hair color? If you do, then the green tint that you are probably noticing has to do with light reflecting off of your dark whiskers that have been cut below the surface of you skin. I've seen this on my friends skin. If he lets his beard grow out for a day then the greeness goes away. If this is not the situation then you probably have some kind of algae growing on your face:eek: and you might want to get it checked out.

I also have a friend with this affliction. He has a light comlexion with black hair (Italian).

Randy, I'm like that. A very heavy pitch black beard, and olive skin. (Middle-Eastern coloring) if I don't shave very close, my face kind of looks like it has a greenish tint! Nobody who sees me believes I'm from Eastern Europe.

Yeah I am Indian, and I think that its the closeness thats the culprit. I think I might need to buy a DE or a Straight to get a closer shave.

Im using gillete cream gel with the shick shaver along with a brush to apply the gel and I use a Electric shave to get the whiskers standing. All stuff you buy at a regular store.

Jeff, glad to see that its the dark beard with the olive and skin and not the algae:tongue:. That's what I figured it was. Welcome to the board.

Welcome to B&B Zog.. I guess we can forget about our own leprechaun and so much for Spock too. I guess an olive complexion will do that with a bit of shadow.

Ron, I guess that we swarthy men all kind of look like that if we don't shave close enough. It kind of makes us look more interesting!
