Well put sir! Yes, I had no idea that was a cover until quite a bit after it came out. It seemed "so George."

Another cover by George, and I'm sure less known, as The Somewhere In England record wasn't a major seller, was Baltimore Oriol. I never knew that was originally done by Hoagy Carmichael, one of George's favorite artists.

 
Too many versions of Hallelujah in the world at this point. A great song suffering from overexposure. For me they all became redundant anyway after kd lang and the Vancouver Olympics opening ceremony.
