Got the Weber PH and a Merkur 37C

In the last week I've gotten the Weber polished head with the Bulldog handle and the Merkur 37C slant. I loved the look and feel of the Weber, but it proved way too aggressive for me.
I'm keeping the handle for my EJ DE89 and will be selling the Weber head.

After that I was apprehensive about the Slant that was already on the way. However I've used it twice with good results. So far I don't feel it shaves any closer than my EJ, but I can go WTG and ATG with no irritation. I'm using the Merkur blade that came with it. I'll try a different blade later this week.

Connaught just mailed out a Muhle 89 Rosegold. I should have that next week. I know it won't be much different than the EJ, but I really like the look of it.

That will be 9 razors in 2 months. I'm done (yeah, right). I almost hope I ultimately don't care that much for the slant, because I know the Ikon will be calling me.

I find the Weber somewhat more aggressive than an EJ. For a mild good shaver, I really like the iKon OC. I just had my second shave with the iKon Slant. It is aggressive enough, I must adjust my technique, but it is the closest shaver I have. Well, probably. I haven't enough shaves yet with the iKon Closed Comb to know for sure...but, to me, it is definitely aggressive.

I absolutely love the Weber and think it's not aggressive but very effective. I would of bought the head from you if I didn't already have a backup.
Maybe you just need some time to adjust to it after EJ. Take your time, it'll be worth it. Don't give up on the Weber yet.

Don't give up on the Weber yet. With the right blade it is very comfortable. No nick, cuts or burn.
That's interesting. I would have thought the OC more aggressive than the EJ. Great! another model to pursue in my quest. I seem to prefer a milder razor, so I think from your comments the Ikon closed comb and slant are off the list for me.

You were correct. I tried it again with a Gillette super thin blade and I've gotten three good shaves with no burn. I was using Astra blades before.
