Very nice set up. The TOBS creams are excellent but less expensive than the T&H. Call and either have them fix it or refund you the difference. Good luck.

i emailed them today and they have just got back to me saying they will send the trufitt out but to keep the taylors too! Thats service, and it gives me a great chance to compare them both directly.

which blades should i try first - astras, gillette 7 oclocks or the feathers?

Wow! That's some great stuff!!! I think I would get an EJ DE89L instead of my Merkur 34C if I were starting out again. You will no doubt enjoy it. I would go 7 o'clocks, Astras, then Feathers. The latter 2 are my favorite blades. Envious!!

i ordered them from 2 different english stores online.

the razor, brush, cream, astra blades, feathers alum block and EJ sea buckthorn sample were from traditionalshaving.co.uk. The proraso, gillette 7 oclocks and blubeards revenge came from shaving-shack.com

That's a nice kit to start with, good choices on everything:thumbup:and great customer service to boot!
let us know who the vendor is they deserve a mention:thumbup1:
Edit just seen above post I have used both of those and they both offer a great service

Looks like a top-notch starter kit! You won't have to buy anything more for months if you don't want to.

Great choices and I'm glad to hear about such wonderful customer service!

I had a sample of that sea buckthorne lotion from EJ and loved it. Let us know what you think of all your things after using them a few times. :thumbup1:

That is a nice kit whether it is a starter kit or one for an experienced shaver.
I have the TOBS Lavender cream and it is one of my favorites. In my view, your selection of blades is quite good. I have used all of them with excellent results.

Enjoy your shaves,

Doug

i know but have bough a couple of old razors on ebay, waiting for them to arrive, know they will need some clenaing up when they arrive, was inspired by the clean up thread on here! the obsession begins!
