Lynn, ***?

Damn dude that is beyond sharp, what does this guy do :w00t:

seriously, it took me almost half a minute to focus my eyes right to even see the edge, and holy crap! It DOES pass the HHT now, it didn't when I got it.

Well time to shower, prepare for tonight, and shave up.

My camera doesn't have that fine resolution, and if I get that close it's blurry. ;(

So, first shave though. A little pulling, tugging...

Squeeze brush. Deposit soggy lather into bowl. Run brush on soap to re-load. Mop up soggy lather, make really creamy lather.

Okay, so much for the pulling/tugging.

Next problem: Didn't really get a great shave.

Well... I got a great shave in some spots. Poor shave in others. Didn't cut myself at all though.

Alright, so I need more practice, no problem. Not surprising.

So, next problem: I need a great shave tonight.

Oh, here's where the awesome happens.

I went back over with the DE, ATG since I did a good job WTG but some parts were bad (many parts were bad). I had NO trouble with the DE, the beard was completely ready for the ATG and the face felt like it hadn't yet been shaved (i.e. no irritation from too many passes). It was like my first pass on the face, except the beard hair was on its third pass.

And then I cut myself like 6 times on the neck with the DE.

Styptic pencil itches, I washed it off after a few minutes. Cuts gone.

Then of course I washed my face and dried off, stroped the razor 60 times each way (took about a minute, I stopped twice to remove the razor from the strop because I was about to roll it onto the blade and cut the material), and put it away.

Well it looks like I'm going to have to strop, shave, examine the shave, and possibly clean up with a pass or five on the DE until I figure the straight out. As I get better with it I'll probably not need the DE anymore.

Oddly enough, I have an awesome shave right now. Better than usual. This can only get better....

Pratice and take it slow.

First shave is 99% not that great. With time it will be much much much better. Don't worry too much about it. Give the straight a few extra laps on the strop.

Have a look at those videos, they helped me: http://www.youtube.com/jockeys41

Now, I'm sure there would be a way to take a picture and then resize it...
