What's new

Got a lot of old stuff from France.

I was interested in the Le Barbu but what caught my eye in this lot of gritty old shaving stuff was the shaving bowl. It is aluminum, crudely hand hammered out of something else, maybe an aluminum plate. Obviously used for a long time by maybe several owners, maybe one. Posting all the pics with questions about some of the items for input. Thanks!

Le Barbu, cool looking, great shape. Did anyone here ever find a blade replacement for one of these? I want to shave with it. Hefty and feels good in the hand. If I can find blades I will polish up the case and razor, if not, relegated to storage.

Palmolive Star Cadet in the box, Pierre D' Alun (Alum Block? unopened), Lame VMA Extra (sharpening stone?), American Sharpening (who is that?) Blue blades, unmarked razor, part of another one.

Anyone recognize the unidentified aluminum handle razor?

Hand made bowl.

What does the number 65 on the brush handle signify?

What is this and what year was it made?

Sharpening stone?

Didn't notice the Palmolive id until it arrived. I guess Gratuit! means this was free from Palmolive as an incentive to buy other stuff?
