Ah well, I can certainly notice it on all of the ones I’ve had! (And yep - Deluxe).

Only difference with permawash Kings is the water changes texture, moreso when adding bleach or bicarb. The stone cuts the same, no finer or coarser. Runnong water clears that though.

Yes, it changes the way the binder behaves, which is quite important. Speeds them up a little, makes the friability more consistent.
