Goodfella Soap

Has anyone tried this stuff?

Even factoring in shipping it only runs about $15 shipped to the US. I just wish a vendor here had it. The wooden box version is pretty nice looking too, but a little pricey to get here.

Cheaper than a lot of the high end guys though...

Awww.

They had me intrigued till they started beating the "rainforest" drum.

No reason you can't still be interested :001_smile

The only thing stopping me is that damn shipping from NZ.

Well, that and finding something to put a square soap in without grating it up.

It looks cool in the square box, you will be left with some corners once you get to the bottom.:biggrin1:

I will be interested to hear how you get on with it as I tried a couple of Tasmanian soaps recently that had very similar ingredients - they made great shower soaps.

The razors look good too.

My experience with soap tells me that that soap will perform horribly. It is all bubble. The butter doesn't feature nearly enough to compensate for the fact that #2 and #3 fats are both massively high bubbling oils (coconut and castor) I would wager it will make massive amounts of suds but not a stable lather.

That is kind of what I was worried about. Shame since it looks so nice and different in its fancy square wooden crate.

I should qualify that I mean as a SHAVE soap. As a body soap it looks really really nice. The whole thing really rings of "traditional Japanese gift" to me. A fairly low dollar item fancied up in a really nice box that would be very good as a "status" gift.

I think you should take one for the team and report back!

Haha, I would love to but my dollars are college dollars and as such must be reserved for so called "sure things".

For example, my most recent purchases are: Speick, Tabac, Irisch Moos, Mühle R89, Simpsons Duke, you get the drift. Tried and true products.

Though I think I just got a Goodfella razor to try...
