Good soap lather in a hard water area?

Thanks for your replies. My lather seems to be getting better after reducing the amount of water in the brush. I think I was trying too hard to get the sort of lather seen in the Youtube videos, but the lather I am getting now works like a charm. Haven't had any major issues since. And I'll see if matters improve further if I get a better quality soap.

I have hard water too and usualy thin lather is just lach of product. Try load heavily, a lot more than you think, with fairly dry brush and slowly add water

That is what I have been doing. Seems to be working.

I definitely think starting with a dryer brush is beneficial. I always work my way up. I stop when the lather is thin enough for my liking. I also prefer a thinner, slicker lather, especially for my AC razors, as someone previously declared.
