Hi kid

Todays is your day. I am a retired 60 yo Army type, who has used all kinds of harshe, deoderant soaps.
All my life.
About 2-3 years ago, noted my skin looked like crap.
Now my background is medicine, I should know better. My excuse is i am a man, men do not do this!!
Long story short, you need a nice conditioner. Kiehls Creme de Corps I use, expensive, there are many out there, use a lotion.
And as far as a soap.
Did you know, there are pure, vegetable soaps out there, some with olive oil.
I slooked around. I found a few places that use shea butter, glycerine, and pure vegetable oils.
Mistrtal out in California, made in France.
Nesti Dante, only because I love Florence.

Michael Design works, is my favorite.
All flavors, he has a grapefruit soap I use in the summer.

Amazon these, you get a bar for about 7-8 bucks, which is high.
They are tripple milled, and last 4-6 months.
I read the above, and feel like a woman!
But men, need to take care of their skin.
Also, for a great, cheap after shave. Thayers, with rose/lavendar has aloe.
So no with hazel burn very nice.
A lot of soaps here, Toms and Kiss my Face, but not tripple milled.
I think Dial is doing a mens soap that is friendly.

Nice day

Been using this soap for about 6 months and it is great. Does not dry out my skin and rinses without any soapy residue. Hope this helps.

Generously sized for everyday use and the bath. Formulated with a 100% vegetable base and enriched with nourishingShea Butter. L'Occitane works directly with women's Shea-processing collectives in western Africa, supporting economic recovery--and a heritage of natural harvesting traditions. Non-irritating; suitable for men, women and children. In a range of L'Occitane fragrances.

Check out you local granola grocer, they should have a decent selection of artisan soaps (not to be confused with the detergent bars that are all over the place). They should have a variety to choose from whether they be all vegetable or made with tallow. Generally the benefit of these types of soaps is they retain their glycerin content which helps your skin stay moist. Keep in mind that at the end of the day soap is a wash off product and while many additives like shea butter and other "exotic" ingredients aren't bad, the benefit is rather fleeting and you'd be better served finding a lotion or cream that contained ingredients like that if you desire a longer lasting effect.

thanks will amazon those soaps

Michael Design sounds great!

I have the same skin type and my personal due diligence led me to short list two soaps:

Savon De Marsaille Olive oil soap - this is a traditional french soap made to a formula that's few hundred years old and contains olive or vegetable oils as a major ingredient and is free of chemicals and preservatives. This soap is also very moisturizing since its oil based.

African Black soap - again, a traditional soap made in Africa using cocoa pods, palm oils and plantain ash. Chemicals & preservative free, but it is nasty to look at. This is the soap I'm currently using and I do see a subtle improvement of my skin after using it for the past few months. I use the "Shea Butter Black Soap" which has added shea butter in addition to the ingredients listed earlier hence making the soap very moisturizing.

Please do note that both of the above soaps are fragrance free and may not smell "good" if you are used to fragranced soaps. Hence it may not be for everyone. But I personally love these natural smelling soaps.

If you are interested, both of these soaps are available in Amazon.

I suggest Dalan d'olive 100% olive oil soap, Dalan Antique Hand-made Olive Oil Soap or any other pure olive oil soaps. These two dalan brand soaps can be found on amazon among other olive oil soaps. I can vouch for Dalan soaps, they're excellent as I use them myself, but theoretically any other olive oil soap claiming purity and 100% naturality would do just same. They leave your skin very smooth and clean afterwards. Best ones are hand made, not colored (originally they have greenish-lime color), not scented ones. Olive oil soaps have some distinctive smell which is neither good nor bad, as they don't contain any scents which is not useful for a soft, sensitive skin anyway.

Best things about these soaps are they contain completely zero artificial colors, preservatives, scents or lathering agents. I hope you won't be dissappointed.

Dove Sensitive Skin Unscented. Hypo-allergenic.

My dermatologist recommends Cetaphil, which is available in a bar or a lotion. It is available at most drugstores, Wal-Mart, and no doubt other big box stores.

I'd recommend the artisan soaps from http://www.queencharlottesoaps.com/, http://www.mystic4men.com/, http://www.mikesnaturalsoaps.com/ (vendors here with great shaving soaps also) and http://www.chagrinvalleysoapandsalve.com/ (not a vendor here and I've hear their shaving soap is not very good). They have great ingredients and quite a few options.

DISCLAIMER: I've only tried th Chagrin Valley ones, which I like, but will try the others when I run out of the ones I have now.

From "commercial" soaps I like "South of France" and "Dr. Bronner's".

I hope this helps.
