Hi guys. I would like some ideas for a rose scented shave soap. I like the TOBS creams and may have to go with that but would prefer a soap. I like the scent of the Trumpers rose cream, which I have had a sample of (thanks Turtle), but the comments I have read here tell me the hard soap isnt too good. Any ideas? I like tallow and am a fan of the Italian croaps but a glycerine puck would be fine also. Thank you.

I tried that and liked the shave but not the scent.
I didn't care for the scent of Mike's Rose either. I have an older veggie version of Trumpers Rose which may have been the last of the good Trumpers soaps. I may have to stick with creams for my Rose fix when my Trumpers is gone. In Rose creams, I'll be switching from TOBS to T&H when my current tub of TOBS Rose is done.
The T&H and Trumper Rose creams are very nice. The scent smells more authentic, while the TOBS Rose smells more "manufactured" to me.
QCS Rose Otto is my favorite rose scented soap or cream.
Prairie Creations Walter's Shave Soap has a nice rose scent and performs wonderfully.
Mama Bear's Rose and Lemon Rose are winners for me!

Absolutely....for the price it can't be beat and the scent is very refined. If you don't like the smell you will be able to very easily get rid of it on BST...
For the peformance, just leave it open for a day or 2 and you are very good to go...

If you ever want to try a cream, go for the Cyril R Salter Wild Rose.

Actually that is one of them I have been thinking of. The QCS is another ive been wanting to try as well.
I've had Salter Wild Rose. Good cream but the scent is more of a tea rose than floral like the TOBS, T&H & GFT.
Czech & Speake No 88 is a described as a "dark rose" scent. To my nose it certainly is rose with a subtle warm scent as well. The soap performs great, with a great post shave feel as well.
My favorite cream in Rose is Truefitt & Hill, smells just like the long stems that are blooming outside right now
I have a puck of Trumpers Rose soap; which smells great, but requires a bit of work to build an acceptable lather. It certainly is usable, but I dont bother because there are so many great soaps / creams that work effortlessly
