The ones that work the best for are the British Long Comb New, New Deluxe, and New Improved.
But as you can see from my image below, there are many to choose from.

I only have one open comb razor, a Gillette New, but its a franken razor with Canadian #77 head and a Probak handle. While it shaves well, I found it very gentle.

I vote for the New Deluxe and the short comb New.
IMHO the TTO OC are top notch. My two go-to razors are my Sheraton and Aristocrat.
Among the 3 pieces the Old Type is my top pick.

I really enjoy my old type, mine is a short handle and very pleasent to use. I have not used other open comb razors, and plan to get others.

Thank you once more. I finally was able to ID my inherited razor. I hope to get access to the same site soon.
My favorite is the New Improved head.

I like all Gillette open comb razors but I find the Old Type easiest to use. The NEW types take more practice to get good results but they are among the smoothest and closest. I need more practice with the New Improved and Goodwill types; they are a bit hit-or-miss at the moment.
I love my Old Types and New Improved but my favourite OC razor by the proverbial country mile is the Aristocrat #15. Perfect combination of performance and looks.
Short comb new
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned the Gem Micromatic Open Comb. Oh well.....
For me nothing shaves closer and looks cooler than my Brit Gillette Popular. It's just a little bit too agressive to use every day, but when I use it my face definitely knows it's been shaved.
