Going to London and ....

Hello,
from time to time there are some posts asking for suggestions about London and mine is much different.

I'll be going to London soon and besides visiting the Saint James area I'd like to bring home:
I nice safety razor and a shaving mug.
I liked the mug they sell on T&H (http://www.truefittandhill.co.uk/viewproducts.php?selection=Shaving%20Mugs&id=48 ) but as far as I know, you can normally get the same item for far less if you don't care about the brand name on the product. That's my case.
This mug sells at T&H for £39.00, Trumper for £48.00 and Taylor seems to have one for £25.95. Does anyone know of a place in London where I can find a similar one for a better price?
It has to be a B&M store because I won't be able to order online.

I also wanted to buy a Safety razor (preferably) Merkur.
I found some DEs on DR Harris (http://www.drharris.co.uk/product_details.php?crumbs=49|51&detailUID=104 ) and Taylor (http://www.tayloroldbondst.co.uk/acatalog/Taylor_s_On_line_RAZORS___SHARP_EDGES_4.html) but can recognize if there Merkur. The one on Taylor seems so (since they sell Merkure blades).
Anyway, Can someone recommend me a place to buy a Merkur HD in London for a good price?
Thanks

ps: here are some pictures of my last trip to London 2 years ago

I dearly loved the time I got to spend in England. I hope to return one day and visit not only the shaving shops, but the haberdasheries.

There might be a possibility to find mugs and razors as well in Portobello Road - a street market with antiques near Notting Hill Gate. As actor Hugh Grant says in the movie "Notting Hill" about the antiques: "Something genuine, and something not quite so genuine". Best Saturday morning where most stalls are open.

I have bought a Wellington DE-razor at Truefitt & Hill. I don't know if it is a Merkur-head, but it works very fine to me and quite as good as my Merkur-razor. You can read more here: http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?ltr=T&t=144285

When in London you of course have to go to St. James's, as I can see you already have planned, but I'll suggest that you also cross Piccadilly and find the Burlington Arcade where you'll find Penhaligon's.

After that go to Mayfair - not very far from Burlington Arcade - and go to 9 Curzon Street to the original Geo F. Trumper shop. This shop has not had very many changes since the opening in 1875. The new - and very nice - Geo F. Trumper-shop in St. James's (1 Duke of York Street) has only been there for a few months after moving away from Jermyn Street.

And last but not least: Have a nice trip to London.

Thanks for the help,

Portobello Road is already on my list. I hope to be able to grab the mug there or at some other antique market.

found some online stores that sell Merkur but it seems hard to get info on any B&M shops
