So in today's shave I bulked my Logistics shave cream with about 10-15 drops worth of glycerin + 3 drops of KoS Alpha Oil. The weird thing is that this particular shave cream is already high in glycerin (it's in the top 5 of the ingredients list), and adding the extra glycerin basically sucked all the water out and left a really dry lather. After adding a little bit more water I got this amazing lather, which seemed really odd to me.
I know some people have bulked with 5 drops of glycerin, so I'm wondering if 10-15 is excessive? I know other people have cut cream and soap together with glycerin, but has anyone just tried to bulk their cream by adding glycerin alone?
