Gillette tech date help

Hello all,
This seems to be a common topic but can anyone help date my ball end tech? I’ve looked as much as I can and can’t figure out if it’s 40s or 50s or 50s British. I got it a couple years ago at a yard sale in a box with a bunch of other bathroom stuff and it’s been my absolute favorite razor since and it’ll likely hold that place for many years to come. Thanks for any help!

This Razor was build Pre-WW-II, so it is older than me, wish I looked so good. Great craftsmanship, quality, build by people who took pride in product.

Not British - says made in the US on the baseplate, and more importantly it’s in gold. English ball end Techs are usually in aluminium. I suspect that you might even have a solid / heavier handle.

Horizontal slots in the baseplate suggest post war.

If I could only keep 3 of my razors it would be a tech, merkur progress, and game changer. This razor is that good.

Legend has it 1950 was the first year Gillette abbreviated the word "Package" to "Pkg." And it does have the creases that run through the drain holes. (Added in ‘47?) So, I'm going to stick my neck out and say it's ‘47 to ‘49.

It is probably this, a 1947-49. I agree with @Hair Scraper here.

It's a good clean example with the plating almost 100%. Nice score @ShavinPaul !

Really nice example. We usually call those post-war NDC Techs around here. From end of WWII up to around 1951 is the right range, but hard to be more specific with those.
