Gillette Super Speed

Should I pull the trigger on one?

Pull that trigger like you are a sniper sighting in on the bullseye of excellent shaves. Pull that trigger like it was the handle on the john and you were flushing bad shaves away. Pull that trigger like it was taffy and you were at the county fair. Pull that trigger like you were some big, hairy pully creature and the Super Speed was the mother of all Triggers. Pull that trigger like you were the moving guy at Roy Rodger's estate sale.

Of course, YMMV.

I got a Muhle R89 closed comb- that I purchased new about 2 weeks ago. The Muhle is my first razor

-- I picked up a 1961 Gillette FATBOY last week- in near new shave ready conditon and now looking at an all metal SS.

The Superspeed, and in particular the 40's style, is just a superb razor. Utilitarian, built like a tank, and a genuine pleasure to use.

That's a shame! I have a '64 and you certainly should purchase one if you get another chance. It is an excellent tool and it's very comfortable to use. I like the smaller handle that mine has. It's definitely a classy little razor, IMO.

The Flair Tip SS is a great razor. Watch the B/S/T for one, or post a WTB one if you had your heart set on getting your birth year.

It's a great razor, and nothing quite as fun as touting a razor that a guy just got aced out of at the last second on Ebay...:incazzato

I agree with cnnc97, if you want a nice shaver that's not NOS, check the BST and spend the extra dough on some other swag.
