Gillette Restores

I have a Fat Boy that is my Grandfathers...I want to restore it...its in pretty bad shape and I don't trust my self to fix it.

Does any one restore Gillettes? Plating and alignment...the doors don't close and open smoothly. It looks like he dropped it a looong time ago. Thanks for any input.

Not sure about the re-alignment but plating is a definite option...contact one of our members...his web-site is www.safetyrazors.co.uk...he should be able to have it done in Nickel at a reasonable cost.
