Gillette razor blade tin

So I just scored this little piece the other day and have no clue to the date or set in which it might have came in. Couldn't find anything on a short Google search and poked around the razor section of Mr-Razor but nothing. Who knows a little bit about this piece that can share? Thanks guys. I know I looked at a post from Porter that showed a double ring in a tin, I wonder if a blade tin like this may have accompanied it?

If you go back and look at that photo I posted it's actually got a blade case with it. It was very similar to the Kampfe Bros. blade tins of the time.

very nice! Looks selfemade. Is it a print or cardboard pieces from a old blade package.

It's steel.

I think Achim was asking whether the image is printed onto the metal or if someone had maybe cut apart a cardboard blade box and glued the sides onto a tin box. I'm guessing that it's printed on, and this shot of the back where the tan color is on both the flaps of the outer sleeve and the bottom of the inner tray makes me think this might be more "professional" than "homemade":

I doubt that someone just bodging something together would have bothered to put anything on those flaps.

Regardless, I've never seen anything like it before. Even if it were homemade it's a cool little piece.

Very cool, I'm looking for a tin to accompany my Vest Pocket model Gillette. Even though it is possible it is a clone, I believe since all the heads and guards purchased with it were Gillette, it is in my honest opinion authentic. This tin looks authentic too.
