Gillette Ranger Tech 1941 / Gillette Aristocrat #15, 1948

To day I received two razors. A 1941 Gillette Ranger Tech (no end caps), and a 1948 Gillette Aristocrat #15. I am very happy about the cosmetic look of both. Don't know much about their shaving characteristics, although I am a little reluctant in using either since they are in such good state.

If you've used a 40s style super speed the ranger tech is slightly more aggressive and closer shaver. Once you shave with it a few times unless you just don't like non-aggressive razors this one should wind up in your rotation. I could live without any of my super speeds (every unique shave variation) except for the red tip if I only had a ranger tech, 41 or 46 doesn't matter they shave the same.

Congratulations on finding two excellent condition examples. If you give in to temptation the Ranger Tech is a great shave, one of my favourites

The 41 ranger, a hallowed razor. They are both nice shavers.

I wish that I`m in such a dilemma :)
Very nice one, for me this is the perfect condition (not "good" as you described), they seem like brand new.

Enjoy and happy shaves.

That Aristocrat (and that case) in perfect condition - with the directions - is as close to a Holy Grail as it comes.

Beautiful razors.

Nice PIF, I'm in.:001_rolle

Very nice! I would use them at least once, a little clean up and they'll be like new again. That way you can decide to continue using them or pick up a good user.

Both are very nice.

I'm not familiar with the 1941 Ranger Tech, but I have a 1940 Regent Tech. If the heads are the same, my Regent has, arguably, more blade exposure than either my Fatip Grande or R41. It has also given me my closest first pass shave and my longest BBS finish, with a Polsilver, at 23 hours.
