gillette platinum

last week i scored a brit superseed at a open air market, there was a guy selling gillette blade packs from a suitcase so i got a couple of packs to try, tried the gillette platinum blades and loved them, the neck atg can be a bit rough at times with some other blades, not with these blades, smooth as you can get, went back to the market yesterday and bought what he had left, and scored a nice clean british souplex oc razor.

nice!!! Gillette Platinum blades are one of the greats for me.

there is a sad pat to this story, i asked the guy where he got all the blades from, he said he done a house clearance of an old mans house and there was 100s of packs of blades, i then asked if there was any razors, yes there was loads of old razors i just left them, my face dropped when he said that, i felt like punching him.

The platinum s are good blades.

Sadly the tale you relate is all too common. Don't blame the poor fella. Cleaning out a deceased persons house is a real chore I would wish on no one.

that's interesting that he would take the blades and not the razors though. He must have thought there would be more value in the blades. Which depending on the razors may or may not be true.

yep, thats what was going through my mind, i dread to think of some of the classic brit gillettes that were in the house, the people who were selling the stuff at the market are gadjys, i dont know what you would call them in the usa, they are like kind of gypsys, the house clearing they do for a living, one of the same family sells used jewellery and another old clothing anything to turn a coin, they would go crazy if they knew what some of those old gillettes are worth.
