Gillette Platinum?

Can anyone recommend a good source for Gillette Platinums? I'm not looking for a huge supply (have seen 10x5 on ebay), just a pack or two to try them out initially. Have seen a few threads suggesting that older style Gillette razors seem to suit Gillette blades better.

If your talking about russian made platinums, B&B member dridiot might be able to sell you 1 pack at a time. I know he sells bulk. Right now he is the only source I know of who sells the Russian Platinums.

Trying to find swedish gillettes at a resonable price and in small quantities is going to very hard if not impossible since they are and have been out of production for such a long time. They occasionally come up on ebay, but usually in large quantities and are over $1 a blade, pretty expensive. Good Luck and happy hunting though. Ebay will be the best place.

Would Gillette Super Silver "with platinum hardened edges" be a good substitute?

Decent. Ive found that the best substitutes are super iridiums and Gillette Bleue Extras.
