Simple question - are the ends of the blades visible/stick out on either a NEW Long Comb or Short Comb?

There are only a few DE razors, vintage or modern, that enclose the blade ends! 99.9% of all DE razors expose the blade ends! All Gillette razors that I have used expose the blade ends.

The LC without patent numbers was made from 1929 through May of 1932. Not sure when they stopped making the LC. The SC was made after May of 1932 when they started stamping patent numbers, they all have patent numbers. There's probably a lot more LC's out there with a 3 year head start.

Think of the tabs as handles to safely remove the blade, you don't want to use the long edges.
