Gillette NEW DeLuxe + Gillette 7 o'clock Black blade = Sweetness!

I just got finished shaving about 3 days growth with my Gillette NEW DeLuxe OC razor with a Gillette 7 o'clock Black and I have to say this is the best shave I have ever had in my life. Completely smooth everywhere with not a single nick or weeper. I think I have come close to shaving Nirvana with this combination. Thank you to those on here who suggested trying the Gillette 7 o'clock Blacks. I had a pack arrive just this morning and thought I would try one tonight. WOW! What a difference a great blade makes!
I just had to share this wonderful shave with my DE brothers here on B&B.
(Badger brush and VDH Deluxe soap were also involved.)

I have to think you are right. I tried 3 different blades in my Gillette NEW DeLuxe before the blacks...None came close to the amazing shave I received from these great blades!

You will love it! The only shave I have had better is with my Gillette Single Ring. I am loving the Single Ring shave!
(With Gillette Super Platinum Blacks, of course!)

I have the new and the new deluxe and they are both terrific razors. In fact, the new is the only razor I've had replated so far. It will be a keeper for the rest of my life. And blacks are the best blades I've tried. You should also try another handle on it and see how it works. I have a little bastone handle on my new, and it adds a nice bit of weight, and improved the grip quite a bit, too. I am going to try either the jaws handle, or a sabi handle for the deluxe next.

Black >>>>>>> Yellow in my opinion. Black's are super smooth for me, the yellows are not bad but a bit harsh.

A 7 pack of blacks are 45 rupees in India, which ~75 cents US. Hopefully it catches on and retailers can find a way import them cheaper.
