Gillette experts inside please!

Bought these 4 DE razors at a yard sale. They are in realky great shape. Gave .50 cents each for them! I know one is a super speed TTO. The black TTO I dont know anything about. The other 3 piece razors I don't know about either. Your knowledge is needed here.

This blade was in the black TTO. The color is kind of a light green or faded bronze color

Good Haul.

Both the TTO's are Superspeeds, just different years. They changed a bit over time.
The other two are Techs.

Can you read the date codes under the blade base? A number and a letter which tells you quarter and year it was made.

Ok gold tech code is Reg US in upper left corner, Pat off upper right corner, gillette symbol lower left corner and made in usa lower right corner.
Silver tech has a Z REG US upper left, PAT OFF 1 in upper right and same bottom as the gold.

Black TTO: upper left M REG US upper right PAT US 3

Silver TTO left upper C REG US, upper left PAT OFF 4.

Same gold tech as I have. Likely dating is either during or right after WWII.

Black TTO is m-3= 1967, 3rd quarter of the year

Silver TTO is c-4= 1957, 4th quarter of year
Silver tech is z-1= 1979. 1st quarter of year
Gold tech is a Contract tech razor 1946 ( Techs came out in 1938 and were made into the 1970's however, they didn't start using date codes until 1951. Unless you had the original case or the original blades that came with the razor, it would be very difficult to narrow down a year any further. Description: Three piece design, top blade holder has one threaded prong (for handle). Inside: "PAT. NOS. ON PACKAGE", underside: "REG. U.S. PT. OFF Gillette diamondMADE IN U.S.A." Ball End Tech 1946-1950, Manufacturer: Gillette, Dates in Production: 1946-1950 )

C-4 = 1957 4th qtr.
Z-1 = 1954 1st qtr.

The gold tech is what i think is a contract tech with that vertical fluting on the handle. Between certain years there were no date codes i think prior to 1951.

You can google "Gillette date codes" and get all the info on codes and serial #s. Mr Razor is also a great help!

OK, got the z1 code, alex2363 says 79, sprite says 54. But according to http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/US_Gillette_Dating_Information the flare tip was not made in 74(assuming its a flare tip), So is it 54 or 79
