Gillette, but which one?

Yesterday I have bought this Gillette on a flea market.
I have cleaned him with silver cleaner, because the surface had oxidised(?!).
A number (183650A) is engraved in the middle part.
Can somebody say something about type and age?

It could be a New Improved. The date code makes it from 1921.

definitely a 1921 New Improved - a great shaver.

These were sold in a number of different boxes/cases under different names - Bostonian, Richwood, New Standard....

Excellent razor, and looks to be in terrific shape! Enjoy it, it is one of my favourite razors.

I have had the best luck with Derby blades with mine, you might consider trying them. YMMV, etc,etc.
