Gillette Birth Year Question

Like a lot of people I am sure; I have a desire to shave with something as old as I am. From what I can see on the Wiki K4 would be the date code I am looking for in order to find a 1965 Q4 razor?

Also if I am reading it correctly, there are only three men's razors made the; the Tech, the SS and the Slim Adjustable. Is that correct? It will help kowing what I am looking for while eBay-ing.

Are there any other tips folks might give me on this search?

I'd have to lose the little stars ... but now that I think of it finding the Mrs one that matches HER birth year/quarter is an idea!

So basically I have those three (four if you count the ladies) choices right? I'm not missing any?

That's it. As for suggestions, get your post count up to the minimum and then post a WTB on the B/S/T. You'll get a better deal here than on eBay. And you'll be dealing with gentlemen.

Sure ... buy some "inexpensive" razors, then start plating and polishing because "it saves money honey" and once again I go off the deep end on a hobby.

Not sure what the required post count is (I'll go look) but I'm just betting there will be a couple eBay find already here... just sayin'.

They all sell for cheap enough over all, no reason not to get one of each type. I'm doing that for my birth year set.

Do you know if there were more than one shade of blue used ?
Interesting different shades of blue in this photo.
I am always amazed to see these in nice condition.... considering that a lot of women probably left them in the showers. Also, I bet a lot were dropped by wet hands, too.

As i understand there were a few shades of blue ......not sure of was meant on purpose.
