I really like the CoolWave AS. I've been a fan of the CoolWave scent in their deodorants since the 90's so I recently tried the AS. It's much spicier and bolder, to me not much at all like the deodorant scent, but still it's very good. It's long lasting too, more of a cologne than an AS.
I've tried the Gillette Cool Wave aftershave splash a handful of times now, and each times it burns and causes red splotches to appear on my face. I feel a lot better after I rinse it of with cold water.I don't get this feeling with any of my other aftershaves.what does this indicate about the Cool Wave? Because right now I'm just thinking it's way too high alcohol content.
There's actually no alcohol in the AS. Possibly the castor oil previously mentioned isn't sitting well with your skin.
I picked up a bottle this afternoon while at WalMart and was very impressed! Nice fresh scent, left my skin feeling good, and super cheap to top it all off. Highly recommend picking up a bottle!
I like the scent of the Cool Wave aftershave. I've never sniffed at or tried any other "cool Wave" anything that they have marketed. I vaguely recall that they have had previous aftershaves that I was less appreciative of.I really like the CoolWave AS. Interesting link. Under product details it says alcohol-free but under ingredients, it does list alcohol as the first ingredient. I can see where one could be misled.Yeah, interesting. I was too lazy to go check my bottle but it is indeed marketed as an alcohol-free AS on every site...http://www.drugstore.com/gillette-series-after-shave-splash-cool-wave-crisp/qxp27241
