I'm new to all this... just went to an antique shop and picked up a Gillette Super Speed Red, a Slim Adjustable and 2 others (they look really plain to me) and anyways, I got these for $15.95 total. The slim I'm having issues adjusting, I loosen the doors, and twist the adjustment thing and all parts begin to spin!!! i go to tighten and the door knob and head of the razor spin while the handle stays in place with my fingers. this razor looks perfect, it just seems to not work right! can someone help me get this thing fixed?

Well for starters, this thread on their dis-assembly may be helpful (if nothing else than to see the pieces so you can see how it works). Not saying you need to take it apart to fix it. I really don't know. Just thought this could help (I would bet others will be along shortly who may be of more help).

I think that the click spring broke... is it a little copper piece inside the slot of the adjuster mechanism? if so it broke. where can i get a replacement spring or make a new one?
